What’s Love Got To Do With It?  Answer:  With God, Everything!

The word “love” is written in the New King James version of the Bible 500 times.  I think it is really important to God.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[c] There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

The Bible says to

Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest]… 1 Corinthians 14:1  (AMP)

How does one pursue and seek to acquire love?

First, Go to the Word of God which is the Wisdom of God. Secondly, Reflect on the Word of God. Thirdly, Apply the Word and finally choose to do the Word of God!

To find out or pursue Love first we should find out what Love is. On the Subject of love  1 Corinthians 13:4-8(AMP) is something I have mediated (reflected) on often so I can get my Love Walk Right.

Below is Corinthain 13:4-8. Read it. Think on it. Soak it up in to your heart.  Then think of a person you struggle with.  What does God think of them?  Ask God to help you see those in your life and those you have any contact with through His eyes.  He loves every single person.  No matter what they have done or what life style they live.  He Loves them–not their sin, but them.

I challenge you to study on the verse below and do it for a week.  See your Love for people change to God’s love for people.  Leave us a comment on how this Love challenge changes you.  I know it has changed me.

4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]… 1 Corinthians 13:4-8(AMP)
