How many times have you heard something like this? Apparently, it is clearly well-known that the friends you keep are a reflection of your character. What are your friends like? Do they build you up? Help you to be the best you can be? Direct you to God in all things? Or do they drag you down to their level? Make you do things that you might not otherwise have done?
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV
Those that we hang out with the most will have the most impact on us. Having a mentor, someone you admire, someone that you wish you could be like, is an important step in your walk with Christ. These people can talk with you, advise you and challenge you when needed. They can rejoice with you and cry with you and show you a Godly example.
This video is an example of someone who is showing a Godly example. See what you think. Consider finding yourself a mentor to help you to “[grow] in stature, and in favor both with the Lord and men.” 1 Samuel 2:26 NKJV
Watch for this phrase in the video, “The more you do for someone else, the more God is going to bless you.”
