I Am Not Pregnant

I send a link to Mary last week and she wrote a post on it. This is such a important issue… please read and be blessed…. Mandie

A Single Christian in a Married World

https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1144/1485778585_f6ef2fb3f3_z.jpg?zz=1 Your world view? Or someone else’s?

I have been away from blogging for a while (since I for some inexplicable reason have nothing useful to say right now!) but I have come across something today that really deserves to be brought to attention.

My friend, Mandie (my source of media gems), sent me a link today from the Huffington Post.  It is a post by Jennifer Aniston in which she echoes some of my own sentiments about the disconnect about how the world thinks we should view ourselves and how we should actually view ourselves.

Is marriage or children or having a beautiful body or looking a certain way what’s most important?  And does it matter what people say about me, their comments on what I should or shouldn’t do, their opinion of my life choices?

Please read this blog by Jennifer Aniston and let me know what you think.

Philippians 3:12-14 (AMP) Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own. I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

“Through My Father’s Eyes”

Fathers Eye

“Through My Father’s Eyes”

Okay, I know I chose to let everyone in my life and all the influences around tell me who I was for years. I chose to fear what others thought of me and I felt I could not live up to anybody’s expectations. I chose to listen to Satan’s distorted views and suggestions. I did not realize I could choose differently because I thought that was the way life was.

Well, I was wrong.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. Proverbs 18:21

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life… Deut 30:19

Talking bad about yourself is not the will of God.

For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty. Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; yes, your own lips testify against you. Job 15:5

What are you saying with your mouth about yourself?  Are the words you are speaking death or life, negative or positive, cursing or blessing? Is your mouth condemning you?  Are you choosing life with your words when it comes to yourself and others? Is what you want to say edifying God’s beautiful creation?  These are questions I ask myself on a constant basis.

It took me many years to figure out that when I put myself down, that I was speaking against God’s creation.  Which is me! Yes, me and you are created by God!

One thing I wish for every one of our readers is that you would see what and who you are Through Your Father’s Eyes, through God’s eyes, not through what the world thinks of you or what you “should” be or your earthly father thinks you should be.

We know how much God loves us and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 1 John 4:16 (NLT)

How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand… Psalms 139:17-18

I don’t care what you have done, or said or did. JESUS LOVES YOU! Now you have to love yourself too.

All He wants is you to recognize Him as Lord and Saviour of your life and He will look after the rest, if you rest in Him.

Love this song below it is all about how God see us. Check it out!

“Through My Father’s Eyes”

by Holly Starr

So many days I listened to the voice inside my head
Never thought that I’d be someone who could be misled
I wanted the mirror to show me something I could not see
Needed explanations for expectations I could never reach

I know I’m not the only one who’s ever cried for help
And Jesus did for me what I could not do myself

He changed my life by changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside
I’m loving what I can see with His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes
(Looking through my Father’s eyes)

From what I see it looks like you don’t like yourself too much
When I hear you talk it sounds like you just feel like giving up
I know it’s hard to see through what this world will tell you
‘Cause misconceptions and false reflections will never be the truth

Just know you’re not the only one who’s ever cried for help
Jesus loves you in ways that you cannot love yourself

He changed my life by changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside
I’m loving what I can see with His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes

I can see your freedom coming
You’ll be a slave to nothing
When you see through my Father’s eyes

He changed my life by changing my mind
He healed all that was broken inside
I’m loving what I can see with His spirit alive in me
I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes

I can see your freedom coming (I can see your freedom coming)
You’ll be a slave to nothing (You’ll be a slave to nothing)

I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes
(I’m finding beauty for the first time
Looking through my Father’s eyes)

No Strings Attached

NO Strings attached

Are you casting your cares with strings attached so you can pull them back or are you casting your cares on God and trusting on Him, relying on Him and confident that God will look after you?

1 Peter 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Comment below… How do you do this?

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all! God bless you.

Merry Christmas!

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. [Isa. 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt. 28:18; Luke 2:11.]

The Word of God is Life

 God’s word is Life.

“John 6:63 (NKJV) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”Bible Study 2

So the written Word of God is Life! Every time you take or speak the Word of God into your heart, believe it and  then act on it, the life of which Jesus spoke is released in you. You take a dose of the Word every time you read it and hear the Word out of your mouth or hear it preached.

We take the Word of God (Bible) for granted often, while other countries have never seen it. The video below is of a wonderful song call “The Word Of God” by Brentown Brown. Please take couple a minute and listen.

Inspirational Devotions & More by Tim Burt

Fresh Manna

Ministers of the gospel, motivational speakers, and countless communicators from different fields, all and often communicate an important truth: everyone’s life has significance. That is true because we were all ultimately created by God to experience a meaningful and significant life with a destiny to fulfill. I know that the plan for every individual has been tainted by the sin and evil that exists in this earth but, that is what creates even greater opportunity for us to walk out a significant life. We are needed and can be “salt.” We can bring flavor to this earth. One of those ways we can be salt is to constantly keep our eyes open and see and catch the good that people do and openly acknowledge and encourage them in the continuation of it. What a paradigm shift that would be! Most people catch and comment…

The Most Unthinkable Thing

I think one of the first reactions that we have when we first hear of God’s incredible love for us, if we are honest with ourselves, is that we are not worthy.  And I don’t mean this in the Hollywood sense of  “We’re not worthy” like in Wayne’s World…

…but rather, in a true sense of not deserving respect or attention, having little merit (Oxford Dictionaries).   I think we know intuitively that, despite the fact that many of us have not recently murdered anyone or participated in human trafficking, we still have that internal sense that our selfishness, pettiness, jealousies will be offensive to a holy God.  This is, I think, the right response from an unholy being to a holy God.

However, it is our response to these feelings that is key.

Either we can say, “Despite his promises, He can never love ME!”  Or, “I don’t know why He does, But He loves ME!”

Either we accept that an omnipotent Holy God has worked hard to draw us near through the forgiveness He has made available through His precious Son; that the perfect holy God has done the unthinkable for us.  OR we can think our sin more powerful than God and believe that what WE have done in our past is unsurmountable by the forgiveness HE offers us.

Please remember, in the Bible God shows how He can even use those with sin in their backgrounds:  murderers (Moses, David), liars (Jacob), prostitutes (Rahab), and those who ran away from Him (Job).  He showed us these stories for a reason.  Yes, He has done the unthinkable in sending His only perfect Son to die for us.  But His gift is offered to all, regardless of your past or present.  Think long and hard before you decide that your past is greater than God’s future.
