God’s Got Amnesia
God has Amnesia!
Yes, when it comes to a repentent heart He does.
God’s Forgiveness is so great and vast.
Please take a few minutes and watch this video as we talk about God’s forgiveness and His ability to forget.
♥ Colossians 2:13-15 (AMP)
13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions,
14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees anddemands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.
15 [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].
Another verse talking about God’s Amnesia when it come to the sin that we have ask forgiveness for.
But you have only burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities. I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).
In this verse we see He want us to “Put Me(God) in remembrance [remind Me(God) of your merits];” to tell him good thing about yourself. Merits is defined by Google as “The quality of being particularly good or worthy, esp. so as to deserve praise or reward”
So ask for forgiveness, give it to God and forget it, God does. Then remind Him of your merits, such as
…I am a chosen race, a royalpriesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special person, that I may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. (Mandie’s Paraphrase)
♥ Romans 8:16-17
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
