As a model, one can have a lot of distractions:  the crowd, photographers, other models, challenging obstacles, etc.  Early in one’s modeling career I think it would be hard to be able to focus on what you’re supposed to be doing instead of being blinded by the flashes of the camera or the loud music blaring in your ears.  It requires a lot of focus to continue on with your task while all around you is chaos.

We can all have this problem with distractions:  TV, school, work, music, friends, Facebook, church, illness, troubles… Not that all of these are bad things necessarily, just things that can distract, clutter up our focus, keep us from being able to keep on our eyes on where we are going.  When things crowd in on us and we suddenly feel like we’ve lost our focus what do we do?

I think at times we would all like to have those “chains” drop behind us…

I know it sounds easy but it actually works!  It’s a good way to reorient our focus and remember Who we are to focus on.  The songs I usually use are Great is Thy Faithfulness, or Praise the Lord, as above, or even 10,000 Reasons.  Everyone will have their own choice(s).

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 ESV

Remember, God has a purpose for you (I guarantee it) and He wants to help you.  If you can keep your eyes on Him in the midst of the distractions, you are sure to maintain your focus and make your way through the chaos with confidence 😀
